weekly roundup

Hello! We've made it through the week. Cue the choir.

I never thanked you all for the sweet emails and comments after my post earlier this week about my thyroidectomy scar. (I've finally responded to each of your comments, by the way!) I only posted that to show the scar progression for others going through similar procedures and to share the products I used to help heal it. I couldn't be more happy that the post somehow helped others in ways even more deeply than that! I definitely don't say it enough, but I really appreciate your support all the time—not just when I post things a little more deep and personal. Your comments honestly make my day and I value the time you guys take out of your day to read this blog.

Ok! The nitty gritty. This week's worthy links...
Oh hey, the new shelf we have in our living room is on sale right now. You know, this shelf.
Tell me that this isn't the cutest skirt ever.
Valentine's gift ideas for him.
I have a pack of orzo I need to use and this recipe sounds delicious.
These sunglasses are high on my list. I love everything about them.
Obsessed with Kendra Scott's new rings.
Lo Bosworth is just too cute.
I'm taking notes...
Still have my eye on this necklace. This one is pretty good too.
A great article on Charleston's new charm.

  1. i loved your post about your thyroidectomy scar -- it takes a lot of courage to share personal things like that but you have such a positive attitude about your recovery, it's inspiring! have a great weekend! xo jillian - cornflake dreams

  2. Hi Megan! (Sorry if this is coming at you twice, not sure if the first one posted) This is completely unrelated but I was wondering if you had an updated self-tanner routine or if you're still using the L'Oreal sublime tanner. This winter weather has me aching for a tan but I refuse to go in a tanning bed! Thank you! :)

    1. Hi Brooke! I still use the L'Oreal Sublime from time to time, but my newest favorite is the Lancome Flash Bronzer (http://bit.ly/1zIK8Dy). It is expensive but a little goes a LONG way. It's easier to use than the L'Oreal one and looks so natural. It doesn't get sticky and the smell really isn't terrible at all. I just think it provides a better overall tan. I haven't been using it much lately (need to!). I also LOVE LOVE Brownberry NYC. Also expensive, but man it makes you look like you got a professional spray tan and it smells yummy!
