5 current beauty favorites

I bought the Beautyblender Pro from Sephora a couple months ago and haven't reached for my foundation brush since! I just love how it allows me to wear foundation in the lightest of ways. If you aren't familiar with this little tool, basically you just wet it until it doubles in size. The dampened sponge gives your foundation a natural, airbrush finish. I also use it to blend under eye concealer.

I swear the Smith & Cult Lip Lacquer is one of the very best lip glosses I've ever used. The shade I have is "Her Name Bubbles." Reasons I love it? It's super high-shine, adds the perfect amount of color (I don't care for the ones that completely cover the natural pigmentation of my lips.), and it isn't sticky at all. It's actually almost "cushiony" on the lips, which I love. Plus, it's isn't full of toxic chemicals. Major win.

The First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser has been my go-to for a while now. It's very gentle and is geared to calm redness and balance the skin's pH. I especially love the texture—it's kind of whipped, kind of creamy. This brand is packed with antioxidants and natural, good-for-your-skin ingredients. My skin has been going crazy over the summer and once I started using this cleanser, I noticed how much it calmed my skin.

I love their Skin Rescue Oil-Free Mattifying Gel Moisturizer, too. I had it for a while but didn't use it because the word "mattifying" always throws me off because even though I have pretty oily skin, I don't want to be matte either! But this is so not the case with this moisturizer. It's so hydrating, but doesn't add that grease factor.

Can't express how much I truly love the Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair. I've been using this lightweight cream in my hair every time I get out the shower. It helps to detangle, doesn't weigh it down at all (I have hair that is very prone to being flat!), helps combat frizz, and offers heat protection, too! Aside from just protecting the hair from future damage, it's also supposed to repair current damage, although I can't really attest to that since I just cut my hair really short to get rid of damage in one fell swoop.  I feel so much better about the integrity of my hair since using this treatment and I think it's going to stay so much healthier now!

  3. I absolutely love the beauty blender but haven't used the pro one yet. A really good dupe is the Real Technique sponge :)
