life lately

A print from Minted that I've loved over the holidays.

We've had 80 degree weather here lately—cloudy, humid, hot weather. It has finally started to cool down and I'm welcoming it.

A Mad Men themed birthday party—with candy cigarettes as props. ;)

We've been in the new old house for a few weeks now. Two? I can't remember. I think we are going on week #3. I am finally getting around to putting little touches everywhere.

And I couldn't get that tree in the background (above) down quick enough. A pregnant lady taking down a tree by herself is not a pretty sight, but I couldn't wait for Brandon to get home to do it.

Our good friends came into town over NYE weekend—and their dog, Scout. We took a midday walk up to Starbucks and I got an iced decaf toasted praline latte. Tastes like the yummy milk that is left over after you finish a big bowl of cinnamon toast crunch.

...and we joined some other friends for lunch at Amen Street. Got to meet their new baby girl.

We had NYE dinner at Hall's and watched the ball drop there. Blurry photo, but there we are!

Brandon's face in this picture makes me laugh. The lighting made is so that it was too dark to take a photo without the flash and with the flash, the light was literally blinding. Guess which option we chose for this picture below? ;)

On NY day, we went out to Edisto for the weekend with Drew & Cody at their family's house. This is  where we always stay when we go out to Edisto, but normally our days are spent out on the beach getting sun with mimosas. This trip was a little different with two pregnant ladies. And of course the weather turned colder once we got out there! Let's just say there was a lot of Netflix watching—which made us laugh because we couldn't figure out if we have ever watched tv while there before!

We did go out to Botany Bay, which was beautiful as always. Remember the last time I went there?

A decorated tree we found near the house along the beach.

Here we are... and oh! I need to share my 27 week pregnancy update this week.
