my 5 minute face

I have been trying to master a five minute makeup routine for the last month or so. In general, I love putting on makeup and even though I don't wear a lot of it, I just piddle around and leisurely take my time putting it on rather than getting it done and over with. I realize this is all going to change when this baby arrives because I won't have the time like I used to. For that reason, I've been curating my makeup routine and picking out a go-to, mindless routine that I can wrap up from start to finish in under five minutes. Well, it might take six, but who's counting? Here's what I've been using and loving!

Beautycounter Tint Skin Foundation in Sand Such a great, easy to work with product. I apply it with this brush. They are made for each other!

Beautycounter Touchup Skin Concealer in Fair Conceals & brightens under the eyes. (Mix with foundation if the shade is too light)

Beautycounter Color Pinch Cream Blusher in Caramel This product has won so many awards and it's obvious why when you use it. It blends incredibly well and the color is so natural. I pop it on my cheeks on my eyes as an eyeshadow. If you prefer more pinky tones, it comes in other shades too!  Sometimes if I'm feeling fancy, I will I dust a little of this blush in bloom/tulip over the top of the cream blush for an extra pop. Because two blushes are better than just one apparently!

Beautycounter Mattify Powder I always run this lightly over my skin to make sure everything is smoothed out and the same texture all over. It doesn't make me look dry & matte as much as it makes my concealer and foundation look cohesive. It also makes it easier for bronzer and other powder face products to glide on in a nice, even consistency!

bareMinerals Ready Bronzer in The High Dive I love this one because it has a tiny bit of a shimmer to it (nothing noticeable and glittery though!) and gives a nice radiance and contour at the same time.

Beautycounter Color Define Brow Pencil I swear this is the best brow pencil ever! I love having the brush on one end (it's the best I've found in a brow pencil) and the product on the other. The product payoff couldn't be more perfect. I comb my brows up first, then fill in with light strokes.

Honest Beauty True Velvet Eyeliner in Truly Cocoa I run this just along my top lid very close to my lashes. I don't worry about making it perfect because I then blend the line with the built-in smudger. I kind of pull it out into a mini cat eye flick. It glides on like butter because it's formulated with vitamin E, mango seed oil, and macadamia oil.

W3LL People Expressionist Mascara Love the wand on this mascara because it keeps your lashes separated. It's a quick and no fuss! Plus, the brand is all-natural.

Beautycounter Lip Sheer in Coral This is one of Beautycounter's best selling products for a reason—they are amazing. The coral shade is one of my very favorites.

  1. Thanks for sharing your favorite products, I need to try that mascara. Does it wash off really easily? I'm curious if you've tried any of the Juice Beauty products? I was a bit skeptical because I've been splurging on expensive brands like Tata Harper for skincare. I ended up buying a bunch of the Juice skincare because I loved the samples so much. The foundation is pretty great too, though I need to try the Beauty Counter one and compare.

  3. Would you mind posting a close-up picture one morning so we can see what all the makeup looks like on?
