weekly roundup

Good Saturday morning! Woke up earlier than usual today, so I grabbed a cup of coffee and my laptop. I will probably start baby shopping if I know myself. So I thought, maybe I'll write a blog post instead.

Today is the last day of the Shopbop sale. Don't miss out on this if you were thinking about buying something soon anyway because you can save up to 25% off your entire purchase with code BIGEVENT16. I shared my favorites here, but what the heck—here's a few more:

I love, love this side table. I've had it bookmarked for a while. It's currently 15% off and they've eliminated the oversized shipping/handling fee for a limited time. Tempting...

Thank you all for your kind and heartfelt comments on Wednesday's post. I started out doing a "mixed bag" type of post. I had talked about new coffee table books and our kitchen renovation, then somehow got into the topic of my mom. The post just developed so naturally and before I knew it, I had just laid out my feelings and realized it all deserved to be a story of it's own. So you'll have to wait on the coffee table books & kitchen renovation details. But I really appreciate your comments and emails more than you know. It's comforting to talk to people that are going through similar feelings. Life isn't always fun, that's for sure. But it definitely makes you appreciate the good moments a bit more.

Now if these aren't the most perfect flats ever. All colors, please.

And by the way, getting back to the whole baby shopping topic. I have really fallen in love with GAP lately. I don't know if I had turned my head for some reason over recent years, if being pregnant has forced me to find better deals on (cute, well made) clothes, or if they've just really been hitting it out of the park lately. Regardless, GAP—you've got it going on. Take 40% off your purchase with code BETTER. Their baby clothes are the sweetest. The fabrics are super soft and I like how simple the designs are. W has so many of these newborn essentials.
