life lately + new clothes and home stuff

Got this Ciao Milano jacket from Elli's Boutique and love it! I've had it in this color for a few years and get compliments on it all the time. This is my favorite light jacket to wear in the rain or when it's chilly outside.

Scooped up this dress from Bashful Boutique in Charleston. They don't have online shopping, but you can always call and see about ordering over the phone!

Watson had his first cold last week. Here we are at the pediatrician waiting to get his ears checked. His cry makes my heart melt.

A yummy breakfast at Normandy Farms.

We've been taking Watson to Clemson football games this year. He had quite the time last Saturday flirting with all the people sitting behind us. He would giggle and then switch back and forth from one of Brandon's shoulders to the other.

My new Daniel Wellington watch came in! This one is from their new black collection and it's called the Classic Black Cornwall 36mm. It has a nylon band and I love the sportiness of that mixed with the feminine rose gold. The cuff bracelet is theirs, too. If you buy the "gift set," which is the cuff and the watch together, you'll receive 10% off. :)

Some fun goodies from White Elephant Designs. This ornament is only $17. What a good gift!

I've been enjoying some superfoods smoothies by Daily Harvest. I love the principle behind this. These take the guesswork out of having to research healthy recipes, shop, chop, measure, and clean up a big mess.

You order your smoothies and they arrive with the ingredients frozen in the cup. Just fill the cup up with the liquid base of your choice and dump it all in the blender. (I use the Ninja and it couldn't be easier). Then pour it back into this cup and top it off with the lid that it comes with. So easy! The best part is that they are filled with tons of fresh, organic ingredients. The chocolate blueberry is MY FAVE. It has blueberries, banana, raw almond, spinach, kale, dates, cacao, vanilla bean, himalayan sea salt, and maca. (Do you know how long it would take me to make a smoothie like this on my own? I don't either because with that many ingredients, it would never happen!)

I have a coupon code for you! Use code holycitychic to get three free smoothies with your  first order.

Got a new rug for our back room. It's the Safavieh Hudson Diamond Shag Rug. It's so soft and piled high! It really cozies up the room. The ottoman is new too. It's the Jasmine Cocktail Ottoman and comes in so many different fabrics. We wanted to make this room soft and cozy because this is where Watson plays. So the scratchy sisal rug and the wood table had to go. Also, the basket and silver fish tray are from Aubergine Home in Freshfields Village out at Kiawah. We spotted them there a couple Sundays ago and grabbed them both immediately! This sweetgrass fanner basket is similar.

Oh and big news! The J. Crew Super Sale is TODAY only!

  4. The beloved diamond shag rug! We too bought it when our little was a baby and am now wrapping it up and dumping it. Don't wear shoes on it and dab when it gets a spill! It stains so easily, but it did it's job for three years and I will for sure miss the softness of it! Watson is sooo cute! Do people say he looks like you or Brandon? I just cannot tell. :)
