favorite workout gear

I'm the biggest believer that cute workout clothes gives you motivation to exercise and makes you feel better while doing it. Is it totally necessary? Well, no, not at all. But for me, anything that helps give me a drive to work out is a win for me. Today I'm sharing my current favorite fitness gear, from clothes to socks and accessories.

This Lululemon On Track Singlet is my new favorite top. The back is unique and something about the front of it is flattering on my arms. I think Lululemon sizing is so all over the place, so for reference, I got this in a size 8 for length. I do not like tight tops! I typically do this size for all Lulu tops.

I love tie-back tops like this Hot Like Agni Singlet because you can wear it two ways. Sometimes I tie the back to cinch in the look. (It shows how in the link.) I have this in a couple patterns, but really want this grey one.

I'll throw on this Define Jacket about three times every day. It's especially great to wear before and after a workout—like when you go in the grocery store after the gym and are freezing because you're still in your sleeveless top.

Two versions of the Align pant to love.... *Note, I normally wear a 6 in Lululemon bottoms, but had to size down to a 4 in both of these below.*

The Align Pant II in the perfect just-above-the-ankle length. I have these in black, but they do come in other colors too. Perfect for barre or yoga, but they would work for any exercise. Here's what's so good about them: My biggest pet peeve while working out is having to pull up the top of my pants because they've ridden down, but you don't have to with these. Not to mention, they claim to make you feel like you aren't wearing pants at all and I have to say, I agree. I thought I loved the High Times Pants, but these are way better in my opinion because they come up just as high, but aren't as thick.

Same pant as above, but in the crop. I have these in black cherry and it's a fun change! Again, I sized down to a 4 in these and the ones above. The sales rep said a lot of people have to exchange these for the same reason.

That's it for Lululemon. I used to be very anti-$90 yoga pants, but now I wear workout clothes all day most days and want them to be cute! Also, I see the value in it now. I still wear my first Lulu pants from 2013. They last forever and still look new! I can't tell you how many $40 pairs of pants I've been through during that time. So now I invest differently—instead of 10+ cheap workout tops that are picked, stretched, and taking up prime real estate in my drawer, I have about 5 Lululemon tops that will keep their shape and color.

My favorite shoe as of late is the Nike Air Huarache. I always size up one full size in Nike's from the size I typically wear in heels and other shoes. I have these in a brighter blue that is no longer available, but really digging these.
Well, it's no Apple Watch, but I personally love the Fitbit Flex 2 because it's slim and I can always take out the tracker and put in my pocket. I sit a lot during the day while working, but then again, I'm constantly running after Watson who is the world's fastest crawler. So I was really curious how many steps I get in. It's a good reminder to get up and move!
These Champion Freedom Racerback Sports Bras have been a favorite of mine for years. They are inexpensive and work so well.

These Old Navy Active Socks are amazing! I picked them up randomly in the impulse buy section and am so glad I did. I'll probably get them in the black, too.
I've been getting a FabFitFun box once per season for about a year now and feel like it's really worth the price. There's a great mix of items in there from health to style and beauty. The value of each box is always over $200. I discovered my favorite earbuds in one of the boxes! You can save $10 off your first box (making it $40) with code HOLYCITYCHIC!

What are some of your favorite workout items?
