what i wore: asheville night one

If you followed along on instagram last weekend then you saw that we went up to Asheville on a whim! We heard there was going to be snow and since we never ever get real snow in Charleston, we didn't even hesitate in booking a small weekend cabin for us three. I searched VRBO for some good options that were close to town, a good price, not entirely remote since we have a baby and wanted to feel safe, had a hot tub and fireplace, and had a rustic feel. Got all that? Well sure enough, I found the perfect place for us. I'll share more details and picture of the cabin soon, but a lot of people were asking for a link of where we stayed, so I wanted to go ahead and let you all know!

We got up Friday just after lunchtime and it had already started snowing just a little. We went inside and got settled in for a while, then headed off for an early dinner in Asheville!

Here's what I wore:

Jeans: These Zara jeans with tassels on the bottom are sold out, but these by Topshop are nearly identical and have great reviews!
Top: H&M—and it's $15!
Scarf: H&M ($13)
Boots: Saks Fifth Avenue (on sale for 61% off right now!)
Clutch: GiGi New York Carly Clutch (available in other colors)
Bracelets and Turquoise Ring: Vahan

We went to The Marketplace in Asheville for dinner. My best friend Ryan invited me to a guest chef event at her work a month or two ago featuring the chef of this restaurant, William Dissen. So I was already acquainted with him and had tasted his yummy Appalachian cuisine and knew I had to try the real deal by going to his restaurant. We loved it! Our dinner reservations were super super early at 5:30pm since we had Watson, so between that and the promise of a snow storm that night leaving a lot of people at home, we pretty much had the whole restaurant to ourselves until we were mid-meal. If you're ever in Asheville, I definitely recommend trying it out! Everything was delicious. We got the beef brisket golden rice cake to start, then I got the lamb papperdelle as an entree and Brandon got the filet or some sort of steak. For dessert we had the dark chocolate cake with brown butter ice cream and toasted marshmallow fluff. YUM!

  2. How fun! My husband and I are leaving our son with our mothers and taking a trip to Asheville in February. I can't wait to hear about all of your favorite places to go!
