what i wore: snowy and bright

Here's an outfit I wore one day in Asheville last weekend. The snow was so gorgeous and I especially loved seeing it in Biltmore Village. I almost felt like I was in another country with the beautiful french-inspired architecture. The place where I took these photos is considered the "village centerpiece"—All Souls Episcopal Church. It had the most open space to run around in the snow a little bit. The rest of the village was full of trees and the cutest shops. And please note how much of a snow rookie I am. I threw up that snow with no gloves on and then 15 seconds later the cold hit my hands like knives! (Probably because the photo took 15 tries with 15 separate snow-throws.) I ran to the car and heated my hands up on the air vent and gave up trying to get the perfect mid-air picture.

Here are my outfit details:

J. Crew Stadium Coat (No longer available in the red, but this one is and I love it! It's also $100 off.)
CC Faux Fur Beanie (Mine is the shade "New Beige" but there are tons of colors available)
J. Crew Puffer Vest (That's a link to plenty of options in the same style, but different shades. They are on big sale right now!! Mine is about four years old and I haven't seen this color in a while.)
7 for All Mankind "The Skinny" Jeans (These have been tried and true favorites for years. Also available on Amazon for a great price!)
Zara Beetle Bag

  1. That is such a cute outfit! Love that red coat so much! Also wanted to mention that the links you put up for the jeans link to 7's instead of Citizens. Either way they are super cute jeans! :)

    1. Thank you! ...and thanks for catching that! The link was correct, but my text description was wrong. Sheesh! All fixed. :)

  2. Ah! I literally just had to throw out my old J Crew gingham button down from holes in the elbows. Haha! What size did you do in yours?

  3. I love that bag! I saw it on someone and assumed it was $$$... what a great Zara find. Hope I can get my hands on it.

  4. Need the details on those sunnies lady! Gorg!

  5. Love this outfit! I love bright colors on snow days! xx, I'm Fixin' To
