We have an almost one year old. I just can’t get over it. In protest, I kept putting off ordering his birthday party invitations, but I finally gave in. It does help that I was able to find the perfect invites for the occasion from Minted.
Have I ever told you that I have an obsession with bunnies? I see a bunny or a bunny stuffed animal and I immediately transform into a 9 year old little girl. More specifically, my 9 year old little girl self who had a bunny named Flopsy. It’s only fitting that I throw Watson a bunny themed first birthday party. Actually, it has a Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit theme, to be exact. (If you follow on Pinterest, you probably know that by now!)
So once I saw these classic and simple, yet whimsical and bright birthday party invitations, I immediately starting plugging in all of our details into the design. Minted invitations and stationery automatically come with a proof sent by an actual designer, but you can save $10 by not needing a proof. So I just double checked everything about 400 times and went that route.
I love the wavy edges and the blue gingham backer and envelope liner. Also, our return address is printed on the back envelope flap, along with all of the guests’ addresses on the front. Woah, talk about a time saver and so beautiful. We also got little thank you notes to go with the invitation suite so that Watson can thank his friends for coming to eat cupcakes with him. Oh, see the little custom stamps, too? It might be kind of hard to make out, but it’s a picture of Watson that we had made into a stamp—all through Minted, as well. Trust me, I am not that crafty or tech savvy to think of little add ons like these all on my own. I was walked through the whole “design process” of customizing our invitations in about five minutes total and it gives you all the options. Then a few days later, we had them in. The quality of the paper and the thoughtful designs are what I really love about this company.
By the way, happy Friday! We made it to the weekend. I’m off to enjoy some Charleston Wine + Food festivities and to snuggle my bunny baby!
