weekly roundup

Hey hey, it’s Friday! This has been a busy week with Charleston Fashion Week in full swing. I’m really excited to be a guest of Lexus this year—they even gave me a sporty little car to drive for the week! I forgot how it feels to drive a small car since I’m typically in something bigger. Makes me feel a little fast and furious. (Whiiiiile going the speed limit. Don’t worry, Mom.) Anyway, thanks again to Lexus and Hendrick Lexus Charleston for the fancy treatment. Sure has made me feel special!

Before I get started with some links for the week, let’s talk about this place setting above from Open Door Shop above. (Just take a look at their website because it’s pretty gorgeous.) I styled it with some things I already own, but the pieces that are theirs are the Monstera Leaf Placemats, the Chalkboard Place Cards (which I wrote on with this white pencil), the Juice Glasses (which I actually use for wine), and then to make your food taste pretty amazing, the Bulls Bay Carolina Salt Flake Jar with this really awesome Horn Spoon. Not pictured is the Charleston Botanicals Room Spray in Charleston Garden. It is all organic and smells to die for.

Also pictured above is my new candle from MacBailey Candle Co, handmade in Charleston. I love how they make their own jars using concrete. This tabby one is so good.

This week’s links…

A direct link to Meg Biram’s GSD archives. I haven’t checked these out in a while, but I love, love this feature. It’s how I’ve found my favorite apps and productivity tricks.

Speaking of, last week I got my email inbox down to zero, which is a huge feat for someone who had 32,539 emails in there. This is the article I used to help me organize a better inbox and since then, I’ve been so much better about responding to emails super quickly. (Although I’m not going to lie, I do have a couple that I need to get back to right now.)

So, who got their spring cup yesterday?

Kat Tanita’s NYC apartment is pretty dreamy.

If you need a good book recommendation.

Have y’all seen the new Beautycounter+ Collection? Cleaner, specialized treatments to add to your skincare routine. One is for brightening, one is plumping, and one is balancing. (Can I get all three, please?)

Here’s another article sharing productivity tips from 11 successful women.

The Serena & Lily friends and family sale has begun! Oh my gosh, so many good things all at 20% off with code MUSTHAVE. They have the best nursery decor. And did you see my review of their Lanai Mirror?

25% off of all this stuff at J. Crew. How cute is this coverup?

Hi! Love the new blog design, but it doesn’t show your entire posts in the Feedly app after the switch. It only gives a few lines and forces you to go directly to your blog to read the entire post. Is this something you would consider fixing? Thanks!

Hi Katie! Thanks for the feedback. I’m not sure why it’s doing that on Feedly. I’ve sent an email to my site developer to ask about it. Thanks again!! xo
