I’m really picky about my sneakers and because of that, I was way overdue for a new pair of black ones. I’m so in love with the coloring in these and am glad I picked them up. Totally intended them just for the gym, but then I realized they really go well with this outfit, so they’ll do double duty for me. It’s fun to see how a pair of shoes can totally change a look.
Since this dress and jacket are on the dressier side, I made the look more casual by throwing my hair up in a high ponytail, putting on these sneakers, and pulling out my big everyday tote.
By the way, how on earth is my belly so big at 24 weeks?! I was looking back at my pregnancy updates with Watson and I was barely even showing at 24 weeks with him. Funny thing is, my weight is lower now than it was at this point with him, so that’s good. I honestly love having a big belly. It was no fun last time when I just looked bloated up until 26 weeks or so!
Switching things up and making this look more dressy… I paired it with some flat booties, brushed my hair out, and switched my bag to something smaller and more structured.
Everything pictured here is from Nordstrom, which has turned into my one-stop-shop for pretty much everything I wear since they have such a good blend of high and low. My favorite way to shop the site these days is to go straight to the “trend” area because I know I’m going to find some steals there. Then I mix those pieces with my higher end bags or a nice pair of shoes to make the clothes appear to be much more pricey than they are. It’s all a balancing act. 🙂
