gifts for baby and toddler

Shopping for Watson has brought on a whole new level of fun to Christmas for us. We really don’t buy very many toys for him throughout the year. Partly because we don’t want to teach him that he can have whatever he wants, but also because he doesn’t seem to care about toys for longer than a few days at a time! He wants to go outside and play with rocks and ride in his truck he got for his birthday, which I put in the guide below because it’s great! But, he’s reached an age where the baby toys that he still fiddled with from time to time inside are just not cutting it anymore, so it’s really time to get him some new, age appropriate things.

Today I’m sharing a gift guide for ages 0-24 months old—and probably a little beyond that age, too. I would love to hear your fun ideas and learn about what other little kiddos are into, so let me know in the comments! For Watson, he is all about trucks and things that make noise. Plus he loves to be outside, so he’s getting a power wheels Jeep that has a remote control option for parents. He also loves baths (He runs into his bathroom every night saying “baaaaaaath!” and tries to hop in on his own.), so we found a cute bath toy that attaches to the side of the tub. We will probably fill in with some new jammies, a book, and a couple other inside toys, like this whistling duck and this dump truck.

This is a great list! Just added the bath toy to my shopping cart! I feel ya on the baby toys just not cutting it. I cringe when I look at the massive toy chest full of unused toys. Something else I would add to this list is an easel, we go ours from IKEA so it was very inexpensive but played with daily , and a sand/water table for outside.
