We recently spruced up our screened porch so that we could enjoy it with these crisp fall temperatures we’ve been having lately. It gets so unbearably hot and humid in Charleston during the summer, so to me, the spring and fall are the sweet spots to really be able to enjoy some “porch sitting.”

So to start, we had nothing for the porch except this table.

I knew we wanted some type of sectional furniture on this porch so that we could kick our feet up and really get cozy. Figured the sectional shape would be a really great use of space for the porch and allow us to keep our table out there for dining outside.  I searched high and low for the perfect thing and finally found it when I spotted this lovely Forsyth Sectional by Leisure Made. It’s also available here.

Here’s how it all turned out!

Leisure Made has tons of outdoor furniture options. But I really love the grey and beige tones in this one. It really is the perfect sectional… comfortable and high quality, really durable wicker that doesn’t look or feel like plastic, and big enough for both of us to get cozy. The set comes with the coffee table, which I also love.

Another great thing? It arrives fully assembled! Seriously, ring the hallelujah bells. This set really completed our porch and I can’t wait to enjoy more quiet mornings with coffee under one of those warm blankets. We’ve also loved pulling out a TV on the porch sometimes to watch Clemson games with friends. The best part is that I feel like we gained square footage on our home when we added this furniture because now we use the porch so often. And stay tuned for early next year because I’m going to share how we revamp this porch for the spring!

I LOVE your table, and have been wanting to refinish the old oak set my parents gave me! Would you happen to have any details you could pass along (ie process, colors, etc)?

Hi Loren! I am so sorry, I wish I did. The lady we bought it from had already started the process of refinishing it when we bought the table from her. I found her/the table on Craigslist. I know she uses Annie Sloan products strictly, but I have no idea which ones or how she did it. I can tell from the underside of the table that it used to be a medium brown color, so the chalk paint made a huge difference in giving it that weathered/grey look that I love!
