One thing I’ve loved about our new house is the open kitchen that flows into the dining room and living room. It has been so fun to have friends over for various get togethers, parties, and showers, like the one some friends and I hosted here last weekend. I’ve really gotten into styling a table, so I thought I’d share some of my favorite serving pieces. Any of these would make for a beautiful tablescape!
The Beatriz Ball Organic Pearl collection is a new favorite of mine. It’s awesome because it never has to be polished and can even be put in the freezer. (I really don’t know why you would, but nice to have that option!) We registered for a line very similar to this five years ago when we got married and the pieces are still some of my very favorites. I love (1) this tray, (2) this bowl, and (3) this bowl, which I bought a couple weeks ago. I love a clear pitcher so that you can see the contents. (4) This one is well reviewed on Amazon and a great price!
I just love the whole AERIN collection at Williams Sonoma. I was inspired by her collection so much that I bought her coffee table book, which I’ve really enjoyed flipping through. (5) This champagne bucket is a splurge, but it’s such a beautiful piece—I keep ours sitting out on our counter. It’s perfect to keep drinks cold and could also be used as a big vase for a floral arrangement. Also from the collection is (6) this fun scalloped platter and (7) this blue and white platter.
Having a few baskets laying around will definitely come in handy for any get together. I’m always using mine to place silverware for a party or, like we did at this past weekend’s baby shower, to hold the party favors! I think I’m going to add (8) this basket to my cart because it is the perfect size for things like that or to use as a bread basket. I love lining baskets with pretty napkins—it’s an easy way to change the look. (9) This napkin is beautiful—also from the AERIN collection.
Of course, some inexpensive white platters are always nice to have around. You can find beautiful options at places like TJ Maxx, or here’s a few from Amazon that are highly reviewed… like (10) this rectangular platter set for a steal and (11) this serving bowl. With all of these new serving pieces, I especially like to mix in (12) antique sterling silver serving utensils. Brandon and I have my grandmother’s sterling silver, but the link I just shared goes to Ebay, where I noticed you can scoop them up for really great prices. I love mixing old and new.
A few other fun pieces are (13) this platter. It’s a fun spin on the typical blue and white. (14) This chip & dip tray is super fun and can easily be made fancy or casual since that seagrass look is so in style right now. Lastly, this is definitely not a serving piece but makes a fun centerpiece…. a blue and white ginger jar like (15) this one.
