Can I just express my love for the one thing that keeps me awake & moving in the morning? No, not coffee. I can drink multiple cups & the caffeine in it just doesn’t fully wake me up.  It’s not until I have a glass of Diet Coke that I can fully begin my day. Is that awful?  Ohh… sweet, sweet carbonation!    Yesterday, I had so much to do, so I woke up early & put on a pot of coffee with hopes that a couple mugs full would leave me feeling extra chipper. It didn’t.  The warm mug just made me feel more sleepy and the creamy taste just left me hungry for something salty! Don’t get me…

I was going to share a fun recipe with you all tonight, but the more I got to thinking about which recipe to use, the hungrier I began to get. So I scratched the whole recipe idea.  Now on to important business… Guess who’s back! Rachel Zoe! Please tell me y’all have seen “The Rachel Zoe Project” on Bravo. Zoe is a celebrity stylist & the boho-chic poster-woman. Her reality show is very addicting and one of the only shows (other than The Hills and The Real Housewives) that I’m religious to.  The show has been off the air for a while, but now season three is set to be shown on August 3rd.  Woohoo … happy early birthday present to me! xo… m

Hardware Princess

I came back to Ridgeland late last night to be home for the Beaufort Water Festival.  It’s an event I’ve been going to since I was six, when my family moved to Beaufort.  It always takes place in the middle of July and lasts over a week. Every day and night there are different events, fun concerts, and contests. During the weekends, tons of people head to a sandbar on the Beaufort River.  That’s where I spend most of my time. This is a picture of the sandbar during a regular weekend in the summer. During the Water Festival, multiply this crowd by 500. Since I was home today, Mom and I decided to get creative.  Meet Mom (well, and Dad):  We decided…

Oh, there you are!

Oops, I seemed to have forgotten I had started a blog! So sorry for my “MIA” status, not that I have any followers showing any disappointment about it (Or any followers at all for that matter). But I still want to keep this thing going, so let me tell you about my past few days. This has been a very easy going week. Monday night I watched “The Bachelorette,” my weekly ritual. My favorites are Roberto and Chris. Roberto is from my city, Charleston! Chris is a sweetheart & I can tell he’d make a wonderful husband.  They say “You can always tell how your husband will treat you by the way he treats his mom.” Chris’ family’s love for their…

Home Sweet Home

I’m taking one summer class which will last until mid-August, but lucky for me, we were given this week off from school. So where do I go? Home to Mom & Dad. Heard of Ridgeland? Actually, I’m still here now …leaving in the morning.  I believe there are just over 2,000 residents in my small town. There is nothing to do here, but it surely is my favorite retreat. Whenever the stresses of life seem unbearable, coming home to my parents relaxes me.  They live in the middle of a big sod field.  It’s one of those houses where you can still see lightening bugs, where there is true darkness -no distracting lights or sounds around. Ahh -sounds great, right?…

Nice to meet ya!

Hello! I’m new to the blogging world. Actually, I’ve wanted to start one for a while but wasn’t sure what my main subject of conversation would be. (Thoughts to self: I don’t have kids. I’m not a newlywed or recently engaged. I don’t have any pets. Hmmm….) One thing I do have, though, is a love for fashion, beauty, food, family, friends, my boyfriend …which all amount to blog-worthy subjects! At least I hope so. So here I am to dish about my random thoughts and daily adventures. I’ll start by telling you all a bit about myself: The name is Megan. I’m a South Carolina gal, finishing my last year of school in Charleston. I have a wonderful family,…
